Duties, market by market
General information, checked on 1 October 2026. It is not customs advice: rules change, and your customs broker confirms the tariff code and the duty for your goods.
European Union
Türkiye and the EU form a customs union for industrial goods, clothing included. Garments shipped with an A.TR movement certificate enter the EU without customs duty; import VAT and local charges still apply.
United Kingdom
Under the UK–Türkiye trade agreement clothing can enter the UK at 0% duty when it meets the agreement’s rules of origin, shown with a statement on origin. Since April 2021 the product rules follow the UK–EU agreement: for knitted garments the yarn, not only the sewing, generally has to be made in Türkiye (or the UK). Garments that do not qualify pay the UK Global Tariff.
United States
There is no trade agreement, so garments pay the normal US duty for their tariff code. Since 24 July 2026 most imports from Türkiye also pay an additional 12.5% under a Section 301 action.
